Ryan McCarl

Ryan McCarl is a litigation associate in the Los Angeles office of Hueston Hennigan LLP. His practice focuses on high-stakes business disputes and complex litigation.

Mr. McCarl began his legal career at WilmerHale in Washington D.C. and served as a law clerk to the Honorable David M. Eb el on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. He earned his J.D. with Honors from the University of Chicago Law School, where he was a member of The Chicago Journal of International Law. Mr. McCarl completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Chicago, where he earned a B.A. in political science and an M.A. in international relations. He also earned an M.A. in educational studies, with Secondary Teaching Certification at the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor.

Before law school, Mr. McCarl taught high school world history and geography. Mr. McCarl has also developed a web application called WordBrewery, which teaches languages using real sentences from newspapers from around the world.
