Kasey Mitchell's practice encompasses entertainment and environmental litigation, white collar criminal defense, securities class actions, and other business litigation. She has represented Fortune 500 companies, universities, government agencies and individuals in a variety of industries, including pharmaceutical, energy, manufacturing and others. Representative clients include: Waste Management of Hawaii, Inc., the Navajo Nation, Amgen, Inc., and Walt Disney Co.

As a member of the firm's white collar team, Ms. Mitchell has represented clients facing complex criminal charges and investigations in a wide range of matters, including: allegations of public corruption, environmental violations, and insurance fraud. In every case, she rigorously scrutinizes government claims and conduct, and she has successfully averted felony charges in high-profile matters.

Also an active pro bono attorney, Ms. Mitchell has worked closely with the Los Angeles-based Disability Rights Legal Center and Berkeley-based Disability Rights Advocates on improving accessibility for the deaf and hard of hearing at an international airport. She represented a homeowner victimized by individuals and companies carrying out a mortgage fraud scheme, and currently she is engaged in immigrant rights advocacy.

Ms. Mitchell is active in bar and legal organizations, including the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, and she serves as a member of the White Collar Crime Committee in the Criminal Justice Section of the American Bar Association.

Before joining Hueston Hennigan, Ms. Mitchell was a litigation associate at Irell & Manella LLP. Ms. Mitchell earned her J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where she was elected Order of the Coif and served as Chief Submissions Editor of the Entertainment Law Review. While in law school, Ms. Mitchell was a legal extern for the Honorable Christina A. Snyder of the Central District of California. She earned her B.A., summa cum laude, in Media Arts and Culture from the University of San Diego.

Ms. Mitchell is admitted to practice in all state courts in California, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
