John Hueston Delivers Best Practices Report to Santa Monica

In November 2015, the City of Santa Monica hired John Hueston to investigate allegations of unethical conduct after the city hired, fired, and ultimately settled with a former employee for $710,000. On Monday, April 18, Mr. Hueston and his team, which included Associates Jonathan Guynn and Sourabh Mishra, delivered his findings to the city.

"This project represented a rare municipal effort to examine a controversial set of government actions in order to glean lessons for better corporate governance," Mr. Hueston said. "The result, which came with the full cooperation of all involved Santa Monica officials and employees, underscores Santa Monica's aspiration to serve as a model California city for best practices in governance and transparency."
