Edward Jung is an associate whose practice includes complex commercial litigation. Prior to joining Hueston Hennigan, he clerked for the Hon. Danny J. Boggs of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

During law school, Mr. Jung served as notes editor of the Harvard Law Review and editor-in-chief of the Harvard Business Law Review. He earned multiple Dean’s Scholar Prizes, including one for exemplary government service as an intern in the Office of the New York Attorney General.

Experience

Represented Amazon.com in a first-of-its-kind suit against Perplexity over its unauthorized use of an AI browser agent. The suit alleges violations of the federal Computer Fraud and Abuse Act and its California analogue. The team argued for and obtained a preliminary injunction against Perplexity. (See “Amazon wins order blocking access for Perplexity’s AI shopping ‘agent,’” Reuters).

Representing ExxonMobil in series of cases brought throughout the U.S. alleging liability for climate change. (See “ExxonMobil taps Hueston Hennigan to lead climate litigation defense,” Daily Journal).

Represented a former senior government official in responding to a draft Office of Inspector General report, securing removal of an adverse finding, removal of the official’s name from the final report, and an agreement that the report would not be made public.

Representing VMware (a Broadcom affiliate) in a copyright infringement suit against Kenvue Brands LLC and Johnson & Johnson Services, Inc.
