Emilie Miner is an associate who represents clients in complex commercial litigation matters. Prior to joining Hueston Hennigan, she clerked for the Hon. Kenneth K. Lee of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
During law school, Ms. Miner was a judicial extern for the Hon. Michael Y. Scudder of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and served as comments editor for the Chicago Journal of International Law. She also worked as a research assistant and ran the school’s Undergraduate Careers in Law mentorship program, in which she connected hundreds of aspiring law students with law student mentors. As an undergraduate, Ms. Miner interned in litigation consulting for Resolution Economics.
Experience
Representing a Western utility in litigation arising out of the 2020 Labor Day fires in California and Oregon. Served on a trial team that persuaded a jury to award just a fraction of the nine figures in damages sought by the plaintiffs.
Representing the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research in a lawsuit challenging the decision by federal agencies to dismantle the National Center for Atmospheric Research. (See “Lawsuit challenges Trump admin’s plan to dismantle country’s largest climate research lab,” NBC News).
Representing Koi Nation in multiple actions against plaintiffs who are attempting to prevent the Tribe from developing its restored lands in Northern California.
Representing an individual in DOJ and SEC investigations involving securities fraud and wire fraud.
