Frank Troncoso focuses his practice on high-stakes business disputes, complex litigation, and white collar investigations. Before joining Hueston Hennigan, Mr. Troncoso clerked for the Hon. Patty Shwartz of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit and the Hon. Edgardo Ramos of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. He was previously a litigation associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell.

During law school, Mr. Troncoso served as an executive editor of the Harvard Latin American Law Review. He also externed in the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York, in the Criminal Appeals Division of the Iowa Attorney General’s Office, and for U.S. Senator Chris Coons, as part of the senator’s Judiciary Committee staff.

Before law school, Mr. Troncoso was a legal analyst at Goldman Sachs.

He is an active member of the Hispanic National Bar Association and has served on the executive board of its Young Lawyers Division.

Experience

Representing the University Corporation for Atmospheric Research in a lawsuit challenging the decision by federal agencies to dismantle the National Center for Atmospheric Research. (See “Lawsuit challenges Trump admin’s plan to dismantle country’s largest climate research lab,” NBC News).

Defending Southern California Edison in connection with high-profile litigation filed over the January 2025 Eaton Fire in Altadena.

Representing GoodPop, makers of better-for-you frozen treats, in a lawsuit filed against JonnyPops, makers of competitive frozen fruit pops primarily made with cane sugar, for unfair competition and false advertising around added sugar.
