Evan Shapiro is a seasoned litigator with years of experience representing a wide variety of clients in federal and state courts. He focuses on complex commercial litigation, primarily handling case management for a range of clients.
Prior to joining Hueston Hennigan, Mr. Shapiro obtained a number of significant victories for his clients—including a jury verdict for $2.1 million accompanied by a finding of misconduct in a breach of contract case concerning financial trading software, as well as a favorable settlement in a federal RICO action (Southern District of New York) in which he represented two RICO plaintiffs seeking over $5 million in damages.
As a senior associate at Sullivan & Cromwell, Mr. Shapiro represented Philips Semiconductors in an international product liability matter involving hundreds of millions in damages. Previously, he was an associate at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison, where he represented entertainment and high tech clients in a variety of matters, from intellectual property to antitrust litigation.
