Jessica Trafimow focuses her practice on high-stakes business disputes, complex litigation, and white collar investigations.

Prior to joining Hueston Hennigan, Ms. Trafimow was a litigation associate at Gibson, Dunn, and Crutcher LLP. She also participated in SDNY’s RISE Court, a program that facilitates the employment and reentry of at-risk defendants on supervised release.

While in law school, Ms. Trafimow was a research assistant for Professor Jennifer Nou and Professor Patrick Barry. She was also a judicial intern for the Hon. Ronnie Abrams at the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Experience

Representing Epic Games in cases across multiple jurisdictions claiming that the company intentionally designed its games to addict players. (See “Activision, Epic, Video Game Developers Face Addiction Suit,” Bloomberg Law).

Obtained a sweeping victory for Joshua Abrahams, a former PwC auditor, when the SEC voluntarily dismissed an administrative action charging Abrahams in connection with a Mattel audit that later resulted in a $109 million restatement.

Representing a former Board of Directors in a federal securities lawsuit in S.D.N.Y. regarding statements made in relation to their company’s public offering.

Representing LendingPoint in litigation for fraud against BDO USA, LLP, one of the largest accounting firms in the world.

Successfully reached a settlement on behalf of a portfolio company in a breach of contract lawsuit against a major alcohol beverage company.

Represented founders and early employees of a dating app in a multibillion-dollar valuation dispute.

Represented a major financial institution in the defense of a class action alleging manipulation of various interest rate and foreign exchange benchmarks.

Conducted internal employment investigations for a multinational e-commerce company.
