Jimmy Biblarz is an associate focusing on complex commercial litigation. Prior to joining Hueston Hennigan, Mr. Biblarz was an associate at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP. There, he assisted in litigating matters for public utilities, technology companies, municipal governments, and law firms, among other clients.

Mr. Biblarz also maintains an active pro bono practice, and has worked on cases with Public Counsel, Lambda Legal, and Human Rights First. He served as lead counsel in an immigration trial for an LGBTQ Senegalese client. He examined multiple witnesses about the likelihood his client would face persecution and ultimately prevailed on all claims for asylum.

His Ph.D. dissertation, “Intangible Factors: Social Capital, Social Networks, and America’s Second Reconstruction,” used computational text methods to track linguistic change in equal protection law, particularly desegregation cases. His work has been funded by the National Science Foundation, the Stone Inequality Fellowship, and the Harvard Fellowship in Law & Graduate Studies.

Mr. Biblarz was a 2022 candidate for Los Angeles City Council District 5 and served as legislative director for a city councilmember.
