Jonathan Kuang is an associate focusing on complex commercial litigation. Prior to joining Hueston Hennigan, Mr. Kuang was a law clerk to the Hon. Gonzalo P. Curiel of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California and the Hon. Peter J. Rubin of the Massachusetts Appeals Court.

During law school, Mr. Kuang was an extern in the Public Corruption Unit of the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts, as well as an intern in the Asian Outreach Unit of Greater Boston Legal Services. Mr. Kuang served as an editor of the Harvard Journal on Legislation, the internal vice president of the HLS Mock Trial Association, and on the Alumni Committee of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. He earned the Dean’s Scholar Prize in Civil Procedure and won Best Oralist in the semifinals of the Ames Moot Court Competition.

Throughout school, Mr. Kuang was consistently recognized for his excellent trial advocacy. During undergrad at UCLA, he was twice recognized as an All-American Attorney and finished second in the Individual National Collegiate Mock Trial Championship. While at Harvard Law School, Mr. Kuang was awarded the Lewis F. Powell Jr. Medal for Excellence in Advocacy by the American College of Trial Lawyers, the preeminent organization of trial lawyers in North America. He continues to volunteer as a coach for the UCLA Mock Trial Team.
