Joshua Yasmeh is an associate focusing on complex commercial litigation. Before joining Hueston Hennigan, Mr. Yasmeh was a law clerk to the Hon. Danielle J. Forrest of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and was a litigation associate at Cooley LLP. He also worked as a clerk for the Wireline Competition Bureau – Competition Policy Division of the Federal Communications Commission and was Los Angeles bureau chief of the American Media Institute.
In law school, Mr. Yasmeh was executive online editor of The University of Chicago Business Law Review, and received the highest marks in the class in Trademark Law, Insurance Law, and Financial Regulation Law.
Mr. Yasmeh is a member of the Iranian American Bar Association and the Federal Communications Bar Association, among other activities. He speaks Persian, intermediate Aramaic, and conversational Hebrew.

Secured a dismissal on behalf of eero, a wireless mesh Wi-Fi manufacturer, in a putative class action brought by a plaintiff alleging violations of California’s Song-Beverly Credit Card Act, as well as tort law claims including negligence, invasion of privacy and unlawful intrusion.
Representing Fortune 500 insurer Genworth Financial in a putative class action in Delaware Chancery Court in which plaintiffs seek, among other relief, rescission of a major corporate transaction involving Genworth’s long-term care insurance business.
Representing Koi Nation in multiple actions against plaintiffs who are attempting to prevent the Tribe from developing its restored lands in Northern California.
Representing the Wilshire Law Firm against a former contractor and his law firm in a breach of contract case for stealing Wilshire’s clients and withholding Wilshire’s portion of fees for those clients.
Representing Bausch Health Companies in a False Claims Act qui tam action alleging fraud on the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and government payers related to the ulcerative colitis drug Apriso.
