Kristen Schnell is an associate who handles complex commercial litigation. Prior to joining Hueston Hennigan, Ms. Schnell was a law clerk to the Hon. Laura Taylor Swain, chief judge of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. She also worked as a Corporation Counsel Honors Fellow at the New York City Law Department.
During law school, Ms. Schnell served as editor-in-chief of A Jailhouse Lawyer’s Manual, joint staff editor of the Human Rights Law Review and A Jailhouse Lawyer’s Manual, and was president of the school’s Criminal Justice Action Network. She also was a legal extern for the Civil Rights Bureau of the New York State Office of the Attorney General and served as a legal intern for the Office of Policy and Legislation of the criminal division of the Department of Justice.
