Sara Banco focuses on complex commercial litigation, managing all aspects of a case for a wide variety of clients. Ms. Banco has experience in various stages of litigation, including drafting motions, taking and defending depositions, and handling expert discovery matters.
During law school, Ms. Banco spent her first summer as a judicial extern to the Hon. William Bedsworth and her second summer working in the California Department of Justice. Ms. Banco has also served as an intern or volunteered with the UC Irvine Criminal Justice Clinic, the Legal Aid Society of Orange County and the Public Law Center. She also served as the senior article editor for the UC Irvine Law Review and co-Vice President of the UC Irvine Moot Court Competition Board.
Prior to joining Hueston Hennigan, Ms. Banco was court counsel for the Supreme Court of the Republic of Palau.
Representing Southern California Edison and Edison International in class action lawsuits arising from various wildfires across Southern California.
Representing Ring (an Amazon.com, Inc. subsidiary) in class action lawsuits filed against it arising out of alleged hacking of Ring devices.
Representing PacifiCorp in class action lawsuits against it arising from the Labor Day Fires.
Defended against a leading technology company in a trade secrets litigation, resulting in a successful demand for arbitration.
Secured, in pro bono representation, a domestic violence restraining order for a victim of domestic violence.
