The Daily Journal has once again named John C. Hueston and Moez M. Kaba to its prestigious list of “Top 100 Lawyers” in California.
The Daily Journal noted Mr. Hueston’s “active,” winning trial schedule, having completed four trials in the past nine months. Among other wins, Mr. Hueston obtained a complete defense victory for PricewaterhouseCoopers in a federal trial raising contract and retaliation claims; won a $25 million jury verdict for Acorn Technologies against Samsung after a five-day trial in U.S. District Court in the Eastern District of Texas; obtained a trial win for Amazon.com; and obtained dismissal for the Houston Astros in high-profile litigation arising from cheating claims.
The Daily Journal noted Mr. Kaba’s “enthusiasm for being back in the courtroom,” and commented on his impressive trial record, including three trials in the past nine months with several more to come. Among others, Mr. Kaba obtained a complete defense judgment for Amazon.com after a 2-week trial in a case promoted by eBay as an international RICO and fraud conspiracy to unlawfully recruit eBay sellers to Amazon; prevailed at trial as co-lead counsel on behalf of PricewaterhouseCoopers; and obtained dismissals for multiple cases on behalf of the California Institute of Technology.
The list recognizes the very best California attorneys who have made an impact on the law and society within the last year. Mr. Hueston has been named to the prestigious list for over a decade, and Mr. Kaba has been on the list for five consecutive years.
