Hueston Hennigan is proud to announce the election of Yegor Fursevich and Michael Todisco to the firm’s partnership, effective January 1, 2025. Both are trial lawyers based in the Los Angeles office.
“Yegor and Michael are wonderful additions to our partnership,” said Moez Kaba, managing partner of Hueston Hennigan. “In addition to being strategic thinkers and gracious mentors, they are, above all, talented and tested trial lawyers who have played pivotal roles in several of our firm’s most significant victories in recent years.”
“Yegor and Michael are great lawyers and colleagues. And they have stood in the trial trenches and emerged stronger lawyers and more skilled tacticians. We are proud to welcome them to our partnership,” added co-founding partner John Hueston.
Mr. Fursevich’s practice focuses on high-stakes business disputes, as well as trade secrets and intellectual property litigation. He has represented multinational pharmaceutical companies, global accounting firms, renowned restaurant brands, and commercial industry leaders in a wide array of matters involving insider trading, trade secret misappropriation, business torts, whistleblowing, and violations of fiduciary duties.
Most recently, Mr. Fursevich was an integral part of the team that secured a complete defense victory after trial for Boeing in a trade secrets, breach of contract, and tortious interference case. He also successfully represented Palantir Technologies in a series of high-profile lawsuits against a former early investor. Other wins include obtaining a complete dismissal with prejudice of a trade secrets misappropriation lawsuit against Deloitte Consulting, as well as a complete defense verdict for PricewaterhouseCoopers in a closely watched federal trial brought by a former employee and purported SEC whistleblower.
Mr. Fursevich completed clerkships for the Hon. Jay S. Bybee of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Hon. Michael W. Fitzgerald of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. He earned his J.D. at UC Berkeley School of Law, where he was Order of the Coif, the supervising editor for the Berkeley Journal of International Law, and the executive editor of the Berkeley Business Law Journal. Fursevich obtained his B.A. from the University of Reno. He has been named to the Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in America and Southern California Rising Stars lists.
With a practice focused on trial work, Mr. Todisco has been recognized for wins in state and federal courts across the nation. While at the firm, Mr. Todisco has gone to trial multiple times, spending over 40 weeks in trial. His successes include complete defense verdicts for PwC, Caltech, and the country’s largest integrated health care system. Mr. Todisco has also helped clients achieve historic trial results. He was a key member on trial teams that won record-setting Lanham Act awards for Monster Energy and that secured the pharmaceutical industry’s first major legal victory against nuisance claims on behalf of Endo Pharmaceuticals.
Mr. Todisco has also secured numerous victories on appeal and through motion practice. This year alone, he has helped secure pretrial wins for McDonald’s USA in a high-profile suit challenging its advertising spend with Black-owned media and for a major law firm in a RICO case alleging a conspiracy between law firms and a federal judge. Mr. Todisco has also helped secure wins in appellate courts at every level—from the California Court of Appeal to the U.S. Supreme Court.
Mr. Todisco served as a law clerk for the Hon. Thomas M. Hardiman of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He earned his J.D. at Stanford Law School, where he was an editor of the Stanford Law Review and recipient of multiple academic prizes, and his B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame.
