At Hueston Hennigan, we select the most talented attorneys and invest our resources in training our associates in all aspects of trial advocacy. We assign junior associates to complex cases the day they walk through the door, pairing them with senior associates and partners who manage and guide the development of matters. We strive to provide at least one trial experience in the first two years for each of our incoming associates. The firm offers associates the opportunity to do pro bono trials, regardless of the time taken from other matters, and actively seeks pretrial and court experiences that contribute to our attorneys’ understanding of the craft of lawyering. We are committed to the professional development of our attorneys, providing them with necessary support and guidance needed to maximize productivity and encourage growth. Because we are trial attorneys first and specialists second, Hueston Hennigan is involved in a broad range of practice areas, giving our associates the ability to gain unique and valuable experiences. Even our most junior associates are given significant advocacy experience. Our junior associates have taken and defended depositions, examined witnesses in court, drafted a motion for a trial or appellate court, conducted fact investigation at a client site, argued a motion before a judge, presented strategy to a client, and met and conferred with opposing counsel to name a few.
