Ten years ago, we launched Hueston Hennigan with 30 lawyers, with the goal of becoming the nation’s premier bet-the-company litigation and trial firm. While we have succeeded beyond all expectation, we continue to be committed to this vision.
Over the past decade, we have achieved numerous victories together with our clients, including winning over $6 billion as plaintiff’s counsel and defeating more than $60 billion in claims as defense counsel.
We have obtained an unmatched record of trial victories that have often included historic and “landmark” wins. Some of those highlights include securing over $500 million in trial awards for Monster Energy— consisting of the largest-ever Lanham Act award and among the largest-ever trademark awards—in two separate cases against rival VPX, obtaining over $300 million for Match Group in an antitrust case against Google, playing a critical role in Epic Games’ landmark antitrust trial victory against Google, securing an unprecedented defense trial win for Endo Pharmaceuticals in a $50 billion opioid litigation, and obtaining a $5.15 billion settlement after trial as the litigation trustee for the Tronox Trust against Anadarko Petroleum Company and Kerr McGee Corporation for fraudulent transfer of massive environmental and other liabilities.
The nation’s leading law firms have turned to us for representation in their most critical cases.
We have been called upon by U.S. Presidents, appointees and their administrations for advice and representation over the years
We have received widespread recognition as one of the go-to trial firms in the country, regularly securing accolades such as a “Trials Group of the Year,” “U.S. Boutique Firm of the Year,” “U.S. Trial Firm of the Year” and “Commercial Litigation Firm of the Year” from publications including Chambers, Benchmark Litigation, Law360, and more.
A decade later, we now have 90 lawyers with an unmatched consistency and depth of trial talent. Through careful recruitment, we have developed a deep bench of trial lawyers who reflect the demographics of our juries. This year, we have the privilege of going to trial for clients including Disney, Amazon, AbbVie, McDonald’s, PacifiCorp and Southern California Edison, to name a few.
Our commitment to make a difference on a national level extends to high-impact public interest matters. We have represented states, the Navajo Nation, counties, cities, and public and private universities in their most important matters. Additionally, we have committed over $10 million of support to launch and grow the Social Justice Legal Foundation, which has the dual mission to bring innovative trial litigation that advances civil and economic rights, and to train young litigators to handle all aspects of the most complex cases.
We are incredibly grateful for the trust and support of our clients throughout this incredible journey.
